Abai and Shakarim: Spiritual Continuity

On February 26, 2026, the Department of General Education Disciplines, History of Kazakhstan and Social Sciences, of SKMA, in collaboration with the Library and Information Center, conducted an educational seminar in the conference hall on the topic “Continuity in the Philosophy of Abai and Shakarim.”

The purpose of the event was to analyze the shared values in the philosophical views of the Kazakh thinkers Abai Kunanbayuly and Shakarim Kudaiberdiyev, as well as to reveal the interconnection between the concepts of the “Perfect Human” and the “Doctrine of Conscience (Ar Ilimi).”

Library staff member A.M. Shokhibayeva organized a meaningful and informative exhibition entitled “Abai and Shakarim: Spiritual Continuity.” The main aim of the exhibition was to highlight the spiritual connection between the great thinkers, their educational and enlightening activities, and their contribution to the formation of the national worldview.

During the event, readers were introduced to the literary and philosophical heritage of the two poets, their reflections on morality, humanity, and the pursuit of knowledge. The exhibition featured their books, scholarly works, famous quotations, as well as materials reflecting the life journeys of the thinkers, which allowed visitors to gain comprehensive and meaningful insights.
