On September 4, 2026, the Library and Information Center of South Kazakhstan Medical Academy held a practical session for residents specializing in Endocrinologyon the topic“Registration in Electronic Databases and Their Effective Use.”
The purpose of the session was to familiarize residents with the electronic resources available through the Library and Information Center, explain the registration process for national and international scientific databases, and develop practical skills in effectively searching for and selecting relevant scientific information.
During the practical session, participants were introduced to electronic resources essential for educational and research activities. They registered in electronic databases and gained hands-on experience using various information search tools.
Special attention was given to searching for scientific articles, electronic textbooks, medical literature, and up-to-date scientific publications. The session demonstrated the effective use of databases and electronic resources such as PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, EBSCO, IPR SMART, RMEB, Aknurpress, EPIGRAF, and other academic resources.
As a result of the session, the residents improved their practical skills in working with electronic scientific resources, searching for and selecting relevant information, and effectively using reliable scientific sources in their educational and research activities.
