A training seminar was conducted on the basis of library resources for residents enrolled in the educational programs of Neurosurgery, Neurology, Pediatrics, Neonatology, Adult Oncology, and Traumatology, with the aim of promoting the effective use of national and international scientific databases.

During the session, participants were provided with detailed information on the capabilities of modern electronic scientific resources, effective information search strategies, principles for selecting scientific publications, and methods for assessing the reliability of sources.

The residents improved their skills in working with international and domestic scientific publications, electronic journals, and articles; learned citation rules; and explored the principles of selecting high-quality sources for preparing research studies and clinical reviews.

The practical part of the session focused on independent information retrieval on specialty-related topics using electronic educational platforms and scientific resources.

The event contributed to enhancing the residents’ information literacy, developing their research culture, and promoting the effective use of modern databases in their professional activities.
